Voice Reminder helps you turn messy spoken thoughts into reminders you can review before saving. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
## Information We Collect
### Account Information
If you sign in, we may receive account information from Apple, Google, or Supabase Auth, such as:
- User ID
- Email address
- Display name
- Profile image, if provided by your sign-in provider
### Reminder Data
The app stores reminder information you create, such as:
- Reminder title
- Date and time
- Notification settings
- Repeat settings
- Reminder color/category metadata
- Created, updated, and deleted timestamps
Reminder data is stored locally on your device first. If you sign in, reminders may also sync to Supabase so they can be restored or used across signed-in devices.
### Voice Data
When you use voice reminder creation, the app may process:
- Audio recordings, when using cloud voice recognition
- Speech transcript text, when using on-device iOS speech recognition plus AI parsing
- Parsed reminder details, such as title and suggested times
If you choose on-device iOS speech recognition, audio is processed by the system speech recognition feature and transcript text may be sent to the cloud parsing endpoint so the app can prepare a reminder draft for review. If you choose full cloud recognition, audio is uploaded for transcription and reminder parsing.
The app may route reminder parsing to different AI providers based on device context such as time zone and selected voice mode. For example, some transcript parsing may use OpenAI or DeepSeek, and full cloud audio recognition may use OpenAI.
### Subscription and Purchase Data
If you subscribe to Voice Reminder Pro, purchase and entitlement status is handled by RevenueCat and Apple. We may receive subscription status information such as whether your Pro entitlement is active. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
### Diagnostics and Analytics
The app may use Firebase Crashlytics and analytics tools to understand crashes, app reliability, and basic usage patterns. This may include device information, crash logs, app version, operating system version, and anonymized or account-linked diagnostic identifiers.
## How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Create, edit, delete, display, and notify you about reminders
- Sync reminders when you sign in
- Parse voice input into reminder drafts
- Manage subscription status and Pro access
- Improve app reliability, performance, and product quality
- Prevent abuse of voice parsing usage limits
- Provide support and troubleshoot issues
## Third-Party Services
Voice Reminder may use the following services:
- Supabase: authentication, database sync, and server functions
- Apple Sign In: iOS account sign-in
- Google Sign-In / OAuth: account sign-in
- OpenAI: voice transcription and/or reminder parsing, depending on selected voice mode
- DeepSeek: reminder parsing for some supported transcript parsing routes
- RevenueCat: subscription entitlement management
- Apple App Store: in-app purchase and subscription billing
- Firebase Crashlytics / Analytics: crash reporting and app diagnostics
- Expo services: app runtime and native module support
These services process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.
## Local Notifications
Reminder notifications are scheduled locally on your device. Notification content may include the reminder title and time. Local notifications are used only to alert you about reminders you create.
## Data Retention
Local reminder data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. If you sign in and sync, cloud reminder data may remain in Supabase until you delete reminders, clear app data, or request account/data deletion.
Crash logs, analytics events, and subscription records may be retained by the relevant third-party services according to their retention policies.
## Your Choices
You can:
- Use the app without signing in, with reminders stored locally
- Sign in to sync reminders
- Choose the voice recognition mode on iOS
- Disable notifications in system settings or inside the app
- Delete reminders in the app
- Delete your signed-in account and account-linked cloud data from the app settings
- Clear local app data from the app settings
- Cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings
## Account and Data Deletion
Signed-in users can initiate account deletion in the app from Profile → Account → Delete account. Account deletion deletes your app account and account-linked cloud reminder data from Voice Reminder systems. Local app data on the device is also cleared after deletion completes.
If you have an Apple auto-renewable subscription, deleting your Voice Reminder account does not automatically cancel Apple billing. Manage or cancel subscriptions in Apple ID subscription settings.
If the in-app deletion flow does not work, contact us at:
[email protected]
## Children
Voice Reminder is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
## International Processing
Your information may be processed in countries or regions other than where you live, depending on the infrastructure used by our service providers.
## Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice in the app or App Store listing.
